Below is a list of the most frequently asked questions we hear from agencies. What if I forget the question I use to login and/or forget my password?

You can use the help feature under Login for organizations. Click on "I forgot my password" to have your password automatically emailed to you. If you need to have your password reset, please contact Karla McCormick, Program Director, at (925) 472-5770 or kmccormick@helpnow.org.

How do I add a new opportunity?

Login for organizations Click on "Add a new one-time opportunity" or "Add a new ongoing opportunity." Fill in the information requested as completely as possible. The opportunity will go to the Volunteer Center to be approved before it is active on the website.

What if I want to change my opportunity from one-time to ongoing or vice versa?

Login for organizations. You can go into the opportunity and edit it from one-time to ongoing. Make sure if you change the opportunity from ongoing to one-time opportunity that you also put dates and times in for that opportunity, so that it will get put onto the "Volunteer Calendar."

Does it cost me anything to use the Volunteer Center's website to post volunteer opportunities?

No, it is completely free. Our mission is to connect people with opportunities for community service. We do not charge agencies or volunteers for our referral services. Our programs are funded through a combination of individual gifts, corporate donations and foundation grants. To learn more about how the Center is funded, visit Support Us.
